The company's coal transportation service consists of coal transportation services serviced by tugs and barge (tug and barge) of 9.8 million tons and floating loading facility of 20.6 million tons.

In a press release in Jakarta, Imelda Agustina Klagoes said, compared to 2016's realization of 6.49 million tons, the coal transportation services serviced by tugboats and barges grew by 51%.

In fact, the figure is still 49 percent higher than the target of coal transportation services served by tugboats and barges of the company, which is 6.58 million tons.

Meanwhile, Imelda said, when compared with the 2016 realization of 16.75 million tons, the floating loading facility of the company increased 23%. In fact, 30% is higher than the previous target of 15.85 million tons.

Imelda said that the increased volume of PSSI's coal transportation services in 2017 pushed its revenue up 34% compared to 2016. It is a hard effort of the company that always performs cost efficiency, especially technical cost, which has been started since 2015.

The company's technical cost efficiency includes tight monitoring of the use of diesel fuel and oil.

Therefore, according to Imelda, the high utilization of the company's fleet combined with the addition of new vessels is expected to continue to drive higher volume and earnings growth in 2018. (Abraham Sihombing)
