Ministry of Industry Integrate Manufacturing Industry With Digital Infrastructure

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - the Ministry of Industry continues to encourage the national manufacturing sector, especially small and medium scale, to transform into an integrated industry with digital infrastructures.
"This is as confirmed by Mr. President Jokowi, that Industry 4.0 or Industry Zaman Now will be one of the factors driving the economy," said Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto in Jakarta (11/1/2018).
To achieve this goal, Ministry of Industry has launched an integrated system through e-Smart IKM, as a database that is intertwined with the marketplace in Indonesia.
"This system can improve market access, access raw materials and provide guidance for policy makers," said Airlangga.
IKM e-Smart program until the year 2017 has been recorded more than 1730 actors IKM incorporated from 23 provinces. In the year 2018, IKM e-Smart workshop will be re-implemented with the target of 4000 participants of IKM actors scattered throughout the territory of Indonesia.
Furthermore, by 2019, the number involved is expected to reach 5000 SME actors. So that next year, there are already more than 10,000 IKM actors who are incorporated in the IKM e-Smart system.
"In this program also encourages the perpetrators of IKM to make breakthrough innovation, by improving products, design development, and follow the education and training," said Minister of Industry.
