INDUSTRY.co.id - England - Former Legendary band drummer The Beatles, Ringo Starr has just got a knighthood from the United Kingdom. The award given to Ringo was performed by The Duke of Cambrigde or Prince William on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace on March 20, 2018.
Accompanied by his wife, Barbara Bach, Ringo was given a knighthood by Prince William with a ceremonial sword to become Sir Richard Starkey.
"It means a lot, it means acknowledgment of the things we've done, music and life and I'm very happy to accept this," Ringo told BBC News.
The owner of the real name of Richard Starkey has an honor for his services in the music world.
Ringo Starr joined Paul McCartney, George Harrison and John Lennon in the band The Beatles as a drummer, after replacing Pete Best in 1962.
