House of Representatives: Immediate Performs Investigation Audit of Oil Well Fires

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Member of House of Representatives Commission VII Rofi Munawar asked the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and law enforcement officers to immediately conduct an investigative audit and investigation of the occurrence of oil well fire in East Aceh.

Earlier, on Wednesday (25/4/2018) at around 1:30 pm, a severe fire broke out in a crude oil drilling kitchen in East Aceh, resulting in at least 18 people dead and a dozen others injured by a fire that burned the oil blast from oil drilling wells it exploded.

The regulation is particularly concerned with Article 9 concerning the Implementation of Petroleum Production, and Article 12-15 concerning the Development and Supervision, and the beleid of Article 16 concerning sanctions.
"According to the information of the wells burning up to 250 meters deep, it should be questioned, usually only 50-150 meters, should be above 150 meters, not the Village Unit Cooperatives (KUD) that hold, considering the technology is not appropriate," he said.
