Thousands of People Enliven Jamkrindo Healthy Walk

INDUSTRY.co.id - Gorontalo - Thousands of people enliven the 5 kilometer healthy walk to commemorate the 73rd Anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia held by Perum Jamkrindo in a series of BUMN Present Presentation Activities in Gorontalo, Saturday (08/18/2018). Since morning, thousands of Gorontalo people have packed Taruna Square in the center of Gorontalo City to enliven the event.

The event was opened by Gorontalo Governor Rusli Habibie and President Director of the Public Corporation Jamkrindo Randi Anto. Also present were Director of Finance, Investment and Risk Management Perum Jamkrindo I Rusdonobanu, Assistant Deputy of Social and Environmental Responsibility of the Ministry of BUMN Indriani Widiastuti, Regional Police Chief, and Regional Government officials. Healthy walks in commemoration of independence were enlivened with various activities such as entertainment, door prize distribution, and a number of competitions. In addition, Perum Jamkrindo also held a cheap market for basic food packages whose sales will be donated.

President Director of Perum Jamkrindo Randi Anto said that the BUMN Present for the Country (BHUN) program was a commitment and a concrete manifestation of the role of Perum Jamkrindo, building an understanding of the role of the Ministry of BUMN as a development agent. SOEs continue to play an active role in development as a form of BUMN's real work in filling the independence that has been championed by the heroes, said Randi Anto.

This healthy walking activity is one of the agendas of several activities held by the Ministry of SOEs in celebrating the 73rd Indonesian Independence Day in all provinces in Indonesia. For the fourth time, all SOEs simultaneously carry out BHUN activities in various regions as a commitment of SOEs to continue to be present in the community.

Perum Jamkrindo is the coordinator of the joint activities with Perum Perumnas as an SOE implementing BHUN activities. A series of activities have been carried out to foster the spirit of Merah Putih in Gorontalo Province, among others with the activities of Students Know the Archipelago (SMN), healthy roads, and flag ceremonies, as well as social assistance to fulfill the basic needs of the community in the form of public facilities and infrastructure, labor intensive programs, cheap markets, as well as providing clean water facilities around the location of the Whale Shark Beach in Bone Bolango Regency.

In the SMN program, Jamkrindo Public Corporation sent 24 of the best students in Gorontalo Province to Lampung for seven days in a student exchange program to get to know each other's cultural diversity and natural resources between provinces. As many as 3 students were students with special needs, but their journey was accompanied by a teacher escort and the Education, Culture and Sports Office (Dikbudpora) of Gorontalo Province.

As the only BUMN in the field of credit guarantee, Perum Jamkrindo supports the development of the national economy. Established since 1970, Perum Jamkrindo is believed to be the locomotive for the growth of micro, small, medium and cooperative businesses (UMKMK) in Indonesia through a guarantee business. Perum Jamkrindo recorded a positive guarantee performance until the first half of 2018. Credit guarantee volume in Semester I / 2018 was recorded at Rp. 86,298 trillion or grew by 22.5 percent. Meanwhile, Jamkrindo's total assets during the first half of 2018 reached Rp. 15.132 trillion.
