Pertamina Cooperation - Telkom Applies Digital Technology at All Indonesian Gas Stations

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Pertamina (Persero) today signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk to synergize to build a digital system in stages at 5,518 Pertamina General Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) throughout Indonesia.

The Signing of Digital Gas Station Synergy Signing was signed by Retail Pertamina Marketing Director Mas'ud Khamid and Telkom Enterprise & Business Service Director Dian Rachmawan. And witnessed by Minister of BUMN Rini M. Soemarno, Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arcandra Tahar, Head of BPH Migas M. Fanshrullah Asa, President Director of Pertamina Ncke Widyawati, and Telkom Managing Director Alex J. Sinaga at the Ministry of SOE Office, Jakarta, Friday (31/8 / 2018)

Minister Rini said that this cooperation was a good step to improve transparency and accuracy of fuel supply and consumption data at each gas station. Not only will that, thanks to realtime data, certainty of stock be managed better and more efficiently. This digitalization will also make it easier for the Government to monitor and oversee the special distribution of BBM assignments. Because, the distribution process can be accurately recorded in the system.

"The main goal of digitizing this gas station is to improve Pertamina's services to consumers. The calculation of revenue from the sale of BBM at each gas station is also faster and more accurate. Digitizing petrol stations can also guarantee that there is no fraud in the distribution of fuel, "Rini said.

Retail Pertamina's Marketing Director Mas'ud Khamid revealed that the digitization of gas stations is the Company's effort to attend to serve customers throughout Indonesia to the fullest. Pertamina also supports the Government's program in the National Non-Cash Movement (GNNT) or cashless society through digital payments.

"Pertamina, through more than 5,000 gas stations scattered throughout Indonesia, understands the demands and lifestyle of today's customers that are all digital, fast and precise. Through the digital system, it is expected that the supervision of the stock and distribution of fuel oil (BBM) can be more effective, "explained Mas'ud Khamid.

The digitalization of the gas station includes the provision of SPBU digital infrastructure, Data Center and Connectivity at 5,518 gas stations or 75,000 nozzles throughout Indonesia, to maintenance (maintenance) during the term of the agreement.

Through the digitalization of petrol stations, Pertamina and Telkom also agreed to develop a fuel distribution platform to monitor fuel stocks in SPBU storage tanks, the amount of fuel released through a nozzle and fuel sales revenue.

In accordance with the agreement, the implementation process of the gas station digitalization will be maximized to be completed in December 2018 or at the latest in the first quarter of 2019.
