INDUSTRY.co.id - South Lampung - The signal of the success of the Prosperous People's Poverty Surgery (Working) program of the Ministry of Agriculture in South Lampung Regency has begun to appear. The Chairman of the Nasrullah Ministry of Agriculture's Working Program to Candipuro District, South Lampung Regency on Friday (14/09) saw the high enthusiasm of the recipients of chicken and duck livestock assistance to breed what he received.

One of the Poor Households (RTM) that was the target of assistance was the Committee. The resident of Rawas Selapan sub-village claimed that his enthusiasm increased in taking care of his chicken after receiving 50 chickens through the Work from the Ministry of Agriculture program. "I used to raise chickens with a small amount, but with the help of chickens from the government, I became more enthusiastic about taking care of chickens to change my life," he said.

Similar to what was conveyed by Muhrozi, the father of 3 children who work as odd jobs is planning to develop the chickens he receives to lay eggs. Meanwhile, Ratam farm workers from Bumi Asih hamlet were willing to spend their money to increase the cost of making a bigger cage for the help of the chickens they received, so that they could accommodate up to the large chickens.

The spirit of raising livestock to help meet the needs of children's school fees was also felt by Sugianto casual laborers who did not necessarily get a job every day. It is different with the spirit of Tugiyem in developing the assistance of chicken he received, because he was encouraged by the condition of Dawijaya, her husband, who was an old farm worker and began to get sick. For Tugiyem the assistance of the chicken that he received was his family's new hope as a source of income.

Nasrullah also visited other beneficiaries, Tekad Maulana at Way Gelam Hamlet as the recipient of chicken assistance from the Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman who was handed over directly at the end of March 2018 at the calf harvest event in Lampung Province. Chicken livestock assistance received by the determination has now laid eggs every day. When visited Tekad showed 30 eggs that were being drilled by 2 chickens, and 15 eggs that were waiting to be broiled, and 2 newly hatched chicks. Determined to admit that in addition to being hatched, chicken eggs are also used for the daily consumption of his family. In the past, when children wanted to eat eggs, sometimes it was difficult because they could not buy, but now they have a lot, obviously Suyati, the wife of Tekad, was moved.

Seeing the high enthusiasm of some of the beneficiaries visited, Nasrullah is optimistic that this agriculture-based poverty alleviation program will be a permanent solution for RTM to get out of the poverty line, through increasing income and improving family nutrition as expected by the Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman.

This is part of program breakthroughs to accelerate the reduction of poverty rates, especially in rural areas that are dominated by people or households engaged in the agricultural sector, "he explained.

The target of the recipients of the Working Program in Lampung Province in 2018 is 9,866 RTM, of which there are 8,173 RTM verified targets. The package of livestock assistance for RTM in South Lampung Regency was given consisting of a package of chicken and duck animals of 50 each per RTM which was equipped with assistance in making pens, feeding for 6 months, vitamins and veterinary medicines, and supervision by assistants.

Furthermore Nasrullah hoped that the community and all parties could jointly succeed the Work program because it could increase family income and nutrition.
