INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) expects investors from Czech to invest in the power generation sector.
Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arcandra Tahar opened the Business Forum between Indonesia and Czech in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Office, Tuesday (18/9/2018) The Indonesia-Czech Business Forum was a follow-up to the bilateral visit of ESDM Minister Ignasius Jonan visited Czech Republic to meet Czech Minister of Industry and Trade last May.
"To all delegations, both from Indonesia and Czech Republic, to carry out business forums well, so that the expected targets can be achieved," he said.
To achieve this target, the Deputy Arcandra explained three things. First, he asked the delegates to sit mingled between the Indonesian and Czech delegations.
"Do not we need to know each other before making a commitment to do business that is useful," he said in front of the Czech delegation led by the President of the Czech Senate, Milan Stech and the Czech Ambassador to Indonesia, Ivan Hotek, the second, Arcandra explained that to achieve the target in a business forum is to have a strong commitment.
He added that by having a commitment, business people from both countries can carry out and work together to fulfill what they want to achieve.
"We can imagine we already have a lot of business forums, what are the results? The result is a pile of papers, and that is not our goal of holding a business forum," said Arcandra.
Third, said Arcandra, do not waste time to sharpen existing problems, but must be able to explore opportunities. Because according to him, business forums are a way to explore opportunities.
"Try to make a direct trade contract between Indonesia and the Czech Republic, so that it does not go through another country (third party)," he said as quoted by Antara.
It is expected that from this business forum, investors from Czech Republic will invest in Indonesia, especially in the energy sector, such as investing in Micro Hydro Power Plants (PLTMH) and Mine Mouth Power Plants (PLTU), as well as establishing turbine manufacturing for mini hydro.
