INDUSTRY co.id - To nbsp;commemorate the 76th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence, as well as raising humanitarian aid for Indonesia, Dharma Wanita Persatuan of the Indonesian Consulate General in Perth in collaboration with the Indonesian Consulate General in Perth held Bazaar Merdeka for Humanity at the Indonesian Consulate General in Perth on August 7, 2021.
This Bazaar involves various stalls serving Nusantara culinary dishes, interspersed with various competitions, including a mini Nasi Tumpeng contest, competitions for reading the text of the 1945 Proclamation and the text of the 1945 Constitution, which are aimed at evoking the spirit of patriotism and love for the homeland of Indonesia.
In this activity, the people of Indonesia and the people of Western Australia mingled happily while enjoying a variety of Indonesian specialties with various dance performances, demonstrations of regional traditional clothing from various Nusantara ethnicities.
In his opening remarks, the Indonesian Consul General in Perth Dewi Madame Gustina Tobing emphasized the need for every element of the Indonesian nation to strengthen the spirit of nationalism, kinship, and humanitarian empathy among the children of the Indonesian nation in this time of concern, especially in overseas lands such as Western Australia. “This Bazaar activity precisely reflects that spirit” underscores the Consul General during the event.
