West Sumatra Governor Gets MURI Award Creates The Most Pantun

INDUSTRY.co.id - Padang - Governor of West Sumatra Irwan Prayitno broke the record of "Head of Region Creating the Most Pantun (Rhyme)” and received an award from the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI).
"This record is not a national, but a world record," said MURI team Andre, when submitting the award, in Padang, Sunday (08/20/2017)
He said the number of rhymes made and became MURI valuation of about 18 thousand, and still potentially increase.
MURI, according to him, has been checking other regional heads who may also have made many pantun, one of them through the Association of Provincial Governments throughout Indonesia.
As per the information received, Irwan Prayitno is the head of the region making the most rhymes.
He congratulated on the record received by the Governor of West Sumatra.
West Sumatra Governor Irwan Prayitno said cultivating Rhyme is one of his wishes and in accordance with local cultural values.
"We hope this culture can live in the ranks of West Sumatera Provincial Government," he said.
He also hopes that culture will live in the young generation, one of them is by holding activities and competitions related to the rhyme.
He appreciated the Spontaneous Sponge Festival ala Irwan Prayitno Sumbar high school level held by the private sector because it can realize those expectations.
