INDUSTRY.co.id - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Monday (12/04) launched and symbolically handed over electronic land certificates (e-land certificates) to all recipients in all over Indonesia at the State Palace in Jakarta.
The President went on to say that the issuance of e-land certificate aims to reduce risks of losing or damaging a certificate, as well as to improve the Government’s data management.
President Jokowi emphasized that the Government will continue to hand over land certificates to citizens throughout Indonesia, while underscoring that the Government aims to distribute 120 million land certificates out of a total of 126 million land certificates by 2024.
On that occasion, President Jokowi also expressed his gratitude to Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (BPN) for providing land service digitalization in Indonesia. He also pushed for dissemination of the service to all people in the country.
“It’s not only for people living in cities but also for all people living in rural areas throughout our country. Please provide information as clearly and comprehensively as possible, so people will understand,” the President said.
Furthermore, President Jokowi called on all ministries and institutions to improve administration for governance and to safeguard assets to prevent land issues.
“There should be no more passive assets that are neglected,” he remarked.
