The Government Immediately Map the Alternative Road to Industrial Estate

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, Director General of Industrial Zoning Development (PPI) of the Ministry of Industry, Imam Haryono, said the government is mapping an alternative road to seven industrial estates to anticipate congestion that often occurs in some areas.

"We will starting from the volume and capacity, of course, will be found alternatives way to seven industrial estates," said Imam at Kemenperin office, Jakarta, Wednesday (26/7/2017).

He added that the Ministry of Industry has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing to create an inter-regional road MM2100 until Deltamas City. "For an alternative road a little more is almost disconnected, just a bridge on the other side occupied by the labor house," said Imam.

In addition, the construction of the 36.9 kilometer long Cikampek Elevated Toll Road II, from Cikunir to West Karawang, and work for LRT, as well as fast trains, further add to the congestion on the industrial estate

"Currently there are many projects, how traffic management in the region so as not to falter, that we will discuss," he said.

According to Imam, the road mapping plan will be restored on Thursday (27/7/2017) with stakeholders.

As is known, the industrial estates are considered strategic to encourage development and the economy in Indonesia, as evidenced by the increased efficiency and ease of infrastructure provision as well as efforts to attract investment and provide extensive employment.

The development of industrial estates will have implications for the increase of employment, so that the income of the community will also increase and also affect the increase of regional economic income.
