PT Toba Pulp Lestari Achieves Blue Proper

INDUSTRY.co.id - Medan - Limited Liability Company Toba Pulp Lestari Tbk achieved Blue from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry assessment period of 2016-2017.

"The delivery of the Blue Category Proper from KLHK received through the Environment Department (DLH) of North Sumatra is encouraging," said PT Toba Pulp Lestari Board of Directors, Mulia Nauli in Medan, Friday (26/1/2018)

Proper Blue category submitted by DLH Head of North Sumatra, Hidayati through Secretary Siti Bayu Nasution and Head of Pollution Control and Environmental Damage, Maridup Sitorus was received by PT TPL Public Relations Manager Simon Sidabukke.

She explains, Proper is a corporate performance rating appraisal program in environmental management developed by the Ministry of Environment since 1995 to encourage companies to improve their environmental management.

According to Mulia Nauli, Proper Blue category for businesses and or activities that have made environmental management efforts required in accordance with applicable laws and regulations is indeed a commitment to the TPL.

"Proper category Blue is a management commitment to consistently comply with applicable laws and regulations in managing environmentally friendly companies and promoting sustainable operations," said Mulia Nauli.

Mulia explained, Proper category Blue received by PT TPL is the eighth consecutive time since 2008.

Management, he said, continues to strive to maintain the environment well because in addition to nature, also for the sake of sustainable business.

"Acceptance of Blue is more proud because previously, PT TPL won the Green Industry Awards award from the Ministry of Industry in December 2017," said Mulia Nauli.
