INDUSTRY.co.id - Rembang - PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk through its subsidiary PT Semen Gresik builds clean water facilities for people located in 3 villages around the Rembang plant ie Kajar, Timbrangan and Ngampel.

The development of clean water infrastructure is marked by the laying of the first stone by the President Director of Semen Gresik Mukhamad Saifudin and Rembang Regent Abdul Hafidz In Hamlet Jatimalang Kajar Village Gunem District.

"The clean water facilities provided by the company to the 3 villages are Pumps, Pipanisasi and Tandon water facilities," said Semen Gresik President Director Mukhamad Saifudin in Rembang, Wednesday (14/2/2018).

He said the construction of clean water facilities in 3 villages with a population of 600 families or 1800 people and is targeted to be completed within 45 days. Water comes from water sources that already exist in the village of Kajar and Ngembel, while for Timbrangan Village comes from the wells drill citizens.

Through the assistance of clean water facilities infrastructure is expected to provide benefits for the community primarily for the provision of community basic services on clean water, improving health quality, improving the net culture in the community, developing environmental sanitation, he said.

To realize clean water and sustainable sanitation facilities are needed by facilities managers who are able to manage, operate and maintain the facilities properly.

"So later the manager we submit to the community through BUMDES village that has been formed for equity and improve the welfare of the community," said Mukhamad Saifudin.

Meanwhile, Rembang Regent Abdul Hafidz said the government of Rembang highly appreciated the assistance provided by semen Indonesia. "This assistance proves the commitment of Semen Indonesia to support the improvement of people's welfare," he said.

The Government of Rembang Regency realizes that the poverty rate in Kabupaten Rembang is quite high. The existence of the company is expected to drive economic potential and reduce poverty. Regent hopes the community can support the industry in Rembang regency
