INDUSTRY.co.id - Denpasar - PT Angkasa Pura I I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, recorded 482 domestic and international flight schedules are not operating because the airport is closed for 24 hours in honor of Nyepi Day, Saturday (17/3/2018).

Flight activity does not operate for 24 hours starting from Saturday (17/3) at 06.00 WITA and reopened on Sunday (18/3) at 06.00 Central Indonesia Time Zone (WITA).
According to Yanus, scheduled and charter flight schedules consist of 244 domestic and 238 international flights with the most routes destinations Cengkareng Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Perth and Surabaya.
Angkasa Pura I in cooperation with Airnav Indonesia Denpasar Branch has issued a notice related to airport closure related Nyepi to airlines and airports around the world through Notice to Airman (Notam) number A-0117/18.
The temporary suspension of flight operations, he added, refers to the Letter of the Director General of Air Transportation number AU / 2696 / DAU / 223168/1796/99 dated September 1, 1999 on Ngurah Rai Airport Operation Denpasar on Nyepi Day.
"The airlines have adjusted and set the schedule with the airport closing period," said Yanus.
Although closed 24 hours, the airport will continue to serve flights that are emergency.
Meanwhile, during Nyepi, airport managers will have 368 personnel on standby at the airport to anticipate such emergencies such as emergency landing or medical evacuations.
"We are also supported by Airnav, Immigration, Customs, Port Health, Air Force Ngurah Rai, Ngurah Rai Air Area Police, airline and ground handling," he said.
