INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT PLN (Persero) reactivated a number of power plants that had been shut down during the Idul Fitri 2018 holidays. The reactivated power plant has a total capacity of 5,000 megawatts (MW).
"It's all right. It's already started (activated generator). Maybe not full 7.000 MW, but 5,000 MW will come in, "said Syofvi Roekman, PLN Planning Director in Jakarta, Friday (22/6/2018)
During operation during Idul Fitri, PLN periodically blackouts the steam power plant (PLTU).
In total there are 18 power plants that get a quota of blackouts in rotation with a total capacity of 7,700 MW for the Java island as the region with the highest consumption level in the country. While the peak load on a typical day reaches 25.8 thousand MW.
For the Java Bali region alone, PLN's capacity capacity reaches 33.6 thousand MW. Based on the calculation, PLN has the potential to lose up to Rp 2.036 trillion with the decrease of consumption.
According Syofvi normalization of new power supply will actually be implemented next week. But it also follows the needs of the community. "Next week should be normal. Next week already entered again, adjusted the same load dong. Adjusted as needed, "he concluded
