INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning (ATR) / National Land Agency (BPN) noted that it has distributed approximately 2.3 million pieces of land certificate by the end of June 2018. That means, the realization of the program initiated by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) , 8 percent of the target of 7 million pieces of land certificates.
For the record, last year the ATR Ministry has mapped about 5.2 million plots of land, of which 4.3 million of them have been certified.
"Indeed, the curve (the division of land certificates) that if the semester 1 is still slightly sloping, but after the measurements are completed, then the certificate can be produced in the second half of this," said Secretary General of Ministry of ATR Himawan Arief Sugoto in Halal Bihalal with media in Jakarta, last weekend.
The distribution of land certificate is part of the Agrarian Reform program carried by the government of Joko Widodo (Jokowi). In addition to the distribution of certificates, the government also facilitates the measurement of community land.
Himawan revealed with the land certificate, the land owner has legal certainty. In addition, landowners can also obtain financing facilities because land certificates can be collateral.
That is, land certificates can help improve the inclusion of people's finances. Not only that, the community can also avoid land disputes caused by the absence of certificates on a plot of land.
However, the issuance of a land certificate is not something that is easy. Himawan mentioned several obstacles to the issuance of land certificates, among others, public awareness in the area that is still minimal.
"Sometimes they (the community) feel less need (land certificate) because it may be feared later if there is a certificate will be taxed," he added.
Nevertheless, Himawan is optimistic that the target of land certificate distribution this year can be achieved in line with continuing education efforts to the citizens by involving various parties from internal, regional government and media.
