INDUSTRY.co.id - Recently, Jababeka industrial area is working with Greenbelt Resources Corporation to tackle household waste. This cooperation shaped the use of modern technology in the form of membrane filter.
"This cooperation can be transformed into a variety of ethanol products, animal feed, and distilled water," said President Jababeka Infrastructure Tjahjadi Rahardja, in his press conference, in Jababeka, Thursday (4/27/2017).
This cooperation is also beneficial for the Jababeka area which produces about 40 tons of waste a day. This cooperation can add value to waste. "The process of waste into ethanol is for the needs of the factory in Jababeka," said Tjahjadi.
In addition, the transfer of waste into compost can also be used for the needs of parks in industrial areas. "Our symposium is ideal," he said. He calculates that this solution can reduce the amount of waste that has been sent to landfills.
CEO of Greenbelt Resources Corporate, Darren Ong, assesses the use of this technology has long been used in the United States. "Indonesia is our pilot project," he said.
He hopes through this cooperation there will be transfer of technology, growth, and the introduction of waste treatment technology.
