INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- Bank Indonesia (BI) ensures online shopping will be an indicator of economic growth in the consumption survey. Until now, online shopping is almost forgotten as an indicator of that growth. Then what is true, BI's plan can boost Indonesia's economic growth.

In the State Budget Draft (RAPBN), economic growth is pegged at 5.4 percent in 2018.

Enny Sri Hartati, Director of the Institute for Development of Economics and Finance (INDEF) said that there will be influence from the plan to enter online shopping to the source of growth.

"Online shopping adds to the volume of the economy, there are transactions, how many valid numbers baseball exists, digital integration as a survey," she said in Jakarta, Friday (18/08/2017).

However, Enny assessed the online sale of the source from the data of retail production that read down. In Bank Indonesia (BI) notes, retail sales were negative 3.0%, retail price pressures over the next three months. That can be seen from the three-month General Price Expectation Index (IEHU) down from 138.3 last month to 133.3 in June 2017.

Therefore, Enny invites the government to include online shopping as an indicator of economic growth.

Known recently Bank Indonesia (BI) is the process of making big data. Later online data will be there. All online business institutions are encouraged to include sales data to big data.
