President Jokowi Gives Appreciation for the Contribution of Various Parties in Handling the COVID-19 Pandemic

INDUSTRY.co.id - RI President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) presented awards to various parties who have contributed and worked hard in efforts to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
The award ceremony was held at the Dhanapala Building, Ministry of Finance, Jakarta, Monday (20/03/2023) morning.
In his remarks the President revealed that various parties considered Indonesia to be a country that had succeeded in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only is it considered capable of reducing the number of COVID-19, Indonesia is also considered to be able to maintain stability and economic growth.
"In June 2022, WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom said that the handling of COVID-19 in Indonesia was among the best and the vaccination coverage was also among the best. It is not us who are speaking, it is the Director General of WHO who is speaking. Then in September 2021, Johns Hopkins University also announced that Indonesia is one of the best in the world in reducing COVID-19 cases. It's not us who are speaking, it's not us who are speaking, they are speaking," said the President.
The success in handling the pandemic cannot be separated from the joint work of all components of the nation, starting from the central government down to the village level, health workers (Nakes), TNI-Polri, the private sector, community organizations, academics, to the whole community.
"I really see that all of us from A to Z are all working hard to deal with COVID-19. And, many parties who work risk themselves. Many of our health workers have died in handling COVID-19, many parties have worked beyond their duties and functions, the TNI and Polri have gone beyond their duties and functions, many parties have volunteered for our safety together, and there are many lessons that we can learn. while dealing with COVID-19," he said.
The President added that the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated the extraordinary strength of Indonesia as a large nation. This power, continued the President, not only can be used for all the nation's big agendas but can also be used to deal with other diseases such as tuberculosis, handling stunting , increasing food production, and reducing poverty.
Closing his remarks, the Head of State expressed his appreciation to all award recipients which were divided into 16 categories.
"To those of you who received the PPKM Award, I congratulate you. Let us continue this service to solve various humanitarian and national problems, and build Indonesia into a developed country," he said.

8. State-Owned Enterprises that Support the Best Service for the Pandemic
9. International Organizations Supporting the Government of Indonesia in the Best Handling of the Pandemic
10. Foreign Private Companies Supporting the Government of Indonesia in the Best Handling of the Pandemic
11. Domestic Private Private Supports the Government in Handling the Best Pandemic
12. Non-Governmental Organizations Supporting the Government of Indonesia in Handling the Best Pandemic
13. Best District

Also attending accompanying the President were, among others, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
