The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Promotes Export by Disseminating the Economic Intelligence Data
INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, Indonesia - “Each year, Indonesian Missions conduct economic intelligence study containing information on the economic situations of export target countries, as well as the challenges and opportunities for the expansion of Indonesian business activities in those countries. The information-sharing session by our Missions in the Asia-Pacific and Africa region is expected to provide insights to business actors on strategies to conquer the market in this region.” This was conveyed by Trisari Dyah Paramita, the Secretary of the Directorate General for Asia-Pacific and African Affairs, at the Indonesian Business Opportunities in the Asia-Pacific and Africa Region event in Jakarta (06/12).
The Ambassador of Indonesia to Australia, H.E. Dr. Siswo Pramono, participated virtually as a speaker in the forum. Additionally, the forum was supported by the virtual participation of officials from the Economic Sections of Indonesian Missions in Beijing, Pretoria, New Delhi, Riyadh, and Phnom Penh. The presence of Andriza Syarifudin—a coach and export practitioner—as a respondent in this forum has attracted participants, including small and large-scale Indonesian entrepreneurs and various business associations, with a total of 220 participants joining virtually.
The speakers provided information from economic intelligence studies conducted in each country. This includes information on market penetration potential, export strategies, and insights to overcome obstacles faced by Indonesian products. In the discussion session, business actors also had the opportunity to inquire about practices occurring in the export process to each country.
The enthusiasm of the participants in this event is a consideration for the Directorate General for Asia-Pacific and African Affairs to organize similar activities in the future. As a follow-up, the Directorate General for Asia-Pacific and African Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will facilitate consultation requests from business actors with Indonesian Missions in the export destination countries and plan thematic and region-based economic intelligence data dissemination in 2024.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with Indonesian Missions, stand ready to collaborate with business actors for our mutual success," Trisari Dyah Paramita concluded.
