INDUSTRY.co.id - Yogyakarta - PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) raises subsidized fertilizer stock in East Java to 68,103 tons. Or two times larger than the government regulation of 34,697 tons.

"The supply of fertilizer in East Java is enough to meet the needs of up to a month ahead, so it is sufficient for the upcoming planting season," said Head of Corporate Communications Pupuk Indonesia, Wijaya Laksana in DI Yogyakarta, Sunday (17/09/2017).

For other types of fertilizer inventory such as NPK reached 59,959 tons, SP-36 of 23,385 tons, ZA of 1,428 tons and organic amounted to 14,487 tons.

Wijaya explained, for the distribution in East Java until the end of August 2017, Pupuk Indonesia has distributed subsidized urea of 593,131 tons, NPK 379,813 tons, SP-36 of 106,452 tons, ZA of 301,353 tons.

Even so, there are also areas that are very high uptake of fertilizer, so it has exceeded the allocation.

"Our step is to reallocate between sub-districts by not exceeding the district allocation while waiting for the reallocation letter from the provincial government," said Wijaya.

Related to the news there are still farmers who are difficult to obtain subsidized fertilizer, it is because not all farmers are incorporated in farmer groups. When needing subsidized fertilizers, they can not be served.

Nationally, the distribution of fertilizer to the food crop sector, especially subsidized fertilizer in entering the planting period is quite good.

"The stock is now quite safe until September 15, 2017, nationwide total stocks in line III & IV, or in district and kiosk warehouses totaling 1,194,306 tons, this amount is enough to meet the needs of up to six weeks ahead, and yet including stocks contained in factory and provincial warehouses, "said Wijaya.

National stock details in lines III & IV consisted of 578,551 tons of urea, 294,904 tons of NPK, 144,846 tons SP-36, 113,522 tons ZA and 62,483 tons of organic.
