Make Exports, Pupuk Indonesia Send 25,000 Tons of Urea Fertilizer to the Philippines and Vietnam

INDUSTRY.co.id - Bontang - PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) immediately sent as many as 25,000 tons of fertilizer to Vietnam and the Philippines. President Director of Aas Asikin Idat explained, 25,000 tons of fertilizer consisted of 20,000 urea fertilizers which would be sent to the Philippines and 5,000 urea to Vietnam.
"In essence, we will export if the domestic demand has been met," said Aas while reviewing export preparations at the Phuong Dong Ship containing 20,000 tons of Urea to the Philippines at the port of PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, Bontang, on Tuesday (18/9) 3018).
According to him, the selling price of urea and ammonia fertilizer is priced at US $ 290,000 per ton and US $ 360,000 tons respectively, so the total fertilizer sales to the two countries reaches US $ 7.5 million equivalent to Rp1.1 trillion.
Meanwhile, the largest Indonesian fertilizer exports are made to the Philippines. As the largest fertilizer producer in Southeast Asia, Pupuk Indonesia controls the fertilizer markets of Southeast Asian countries such as the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Timor Timor and Singapore with total exports of 507,694 tons of urea, 126,170 tons of ammonia, and 21,301 tons of NPK or worth IDR2.67 trillion.
"At present, the price is good. However, the average selling price of urea fertilizer in this year is around US $ 247,000 per ton, "he said.
On a similar occasion, Minister of BUMN Rini Mariani Soemarno appreciated the export steps taken by Pupuk Kalimantan Timur. Pupuk Indonesia Group is one of a number of state-owned enterprises that always drive national economic growth through exports.
"This export was carried out after ensuring and prioritizing the fulfillment of fulfilled domestic needs," said Rini.
