Tourism Minister Arief Yahya in Presidential Lecture "Indonesian Tourism & Entrepreneurship between Local Business Creation & Global Competition" at President University, Monday (25/9)
INDUSTRY.co.id - Jababeka- Indonesian Tourism Minister (Menpar) Arief Yahya predicts that land prices in KEK Tanjung Lesung will skyrocket 100 percent after the construction of the Serang-Panimbang toll road is completed in 2019.
If now the price of Rp 1 million per square meter, maybe later can be up to Rp 5 million per meter, said Arief Yahya at public lecture theme of Indonesian Tourism & Entrepreneurship between Local Business Creation & Global Competition followed by 450 students and lecturers in Himawan auditorium President University Jababeka Cikarang, Bekasi, on Monday (25/9).
He has also confirmed to Minister of Public Works and People's Housing Basuki Hadimuljono regarding Serang Panimbang toll road Construction which will be realized in 2018 and completed in 2019.
Well when that's going to explode Tanjung Lesung, what good would it do if they go in now and wait for 2 years if they enter after 2 years late, he said.
Menpar also mentioned about Morotai which is also managed by Jababeka Group, where if the existing airport is not international then definitely not sold.
Now the terminal is over, next year the runway is complete. Be the airport of Morotai to become an international airport. Once it becomes an international airport, it is relatively easy to sell Morotai to countries in the Pacific such as China, Taiwan and Japan. As it is very close, it may be a 3 hour flight to Morotai, he added.
Menpar also mentioned about Lake Toba, which accessibility takes 6 hours. Which eventually built Silangit Airport which is international status so as to solve the problem of access.
For Indonesia, 3A (Attractions, Accessibility and Amenitas) of Attraction can be ignored. Indonesia is good. But Accessibility is always a problem. Tourists will not want to go to a destination if the journey is more than 2 hours, he said.
