INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) opens opportunities for local and international investors to support the development of the transportation, logistics and maritime sectors.

"Transportation is the backbone of the nation in connecting between regions, so this sector must be strong," said Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Transportation Carmelita Hartoto at the opening of Indonesia Transport, Logistics and Maritime Week (ITLMW) 2017 in Jakarta, (10/10/2017)

The government has committed to allocate Rp5,500 trillion for infrastructure acceleration and connectivity. However, the development is not evenly distributed, it is necessary to work together with various parties to achieve the development targets.

The focus of the exhibition this year is to improve the maritime industry and reform the national logistics system that became the main points. In addition, he also explained that the government needs to conduct a planned feasibility study to reduce logistics costs so that price disparity can be terminated.

The target to be achieved by the government itself is to reduce logistics costs from 24 percent to 19.2 percent by 2019.
