INDUSTRY.co.id - Central Lombok - After waiting for 29 years, the Special Economic Zone (KEK) Mandalika located in Central Lombok finally inaugurated. The inauguration was conducted by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on this day, Friday (20/10/2017) in Central Lombok, NTB.

Jokowi said, KEK Mandalika has been waiting for 29 years to be able to operate. Land acquisition issues are the reason behind the slow progress of SEZ Mandalika.

"The affair (Mandalika) of 29 is not completed due to land acquisition," said President Jokowi when inaugurating the Mandalika KEK at Kuta Beach Mandalika, Central Lombok.

According to President Jokowi, this is what makes investors hesitate to invest in the area located in the southern island of Lombok. "When I came here, I asked what the problem is, whether the land is expensive or the community does not support," continued Jokowi.

Apparently, said Jokowi, the surrounding community supports the development of the SEZ Mandalika. Even with the price of land acquisition is still in reasonable level.

"I am pursuing, it is just a piece of legal umbrella paper for land acquisition, Mr. Governor is afraid Mr. Bupati is afraid, we meet once in the Palace, out of President Instruction and no two months, the release is complete," said Jokowi.

Jokowi asked all parties involved in the development of KEK Mandalika to work in detail so that the development of KEK Mandalika as an international destination area can be realized.

"Things like this if work is not detailed yes baseball completed, I if not here i do not understand. Minister of Coordination (economy) I command here to check," said Jokowi.
