The Shipyard Industry Has a role for the National Economy
INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- The current government has placed the maritime sector as one of the priority sectors in national development.
This includes the development of the national shipbuilding industry.
The Government has encouraged the shipyard industry through the Regulation of the Minister of Finance concerning Government Borne Import Duty (BMDTP).
As is known, the shipping sector became one of the industry sectors that are eligible to receive BMDTP.
"Besides BMDTP, of course, other components can also be encouraged to be utilized by national shipbuilding industry," said Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto in Jakarta (23/10/2017).
In addition, continued Airlangga, the shipbuilding industry is now we pushed with the fiscal policy, we live in the encouragement of the use of national industry.
"It is of course we will push the shipyards that exist in Batam, Cilegon, Lamongan and Surabaya can be pushed," he said.
According to him, from companies operating in this maritime axis need to have sufficient profits, thus they will encourage more investment.
"Therefore, we will continue to drive the growth of the national shipbuilding industry," Airlangga said.
