INDUSTRY.co.id - Sawahlunto - Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arcandra Tahar ensures that mining companies that are still not yet Clear and Clean (CnC) will soon stop operating because their Mining Business License (IUP) will be revoked.
"What CnC will not remove is CnC that we will give permission, there is no excuse," said Arcandra at the Underground Research and Development Center (BDTBT) Sawahlunto, West Sumatra (29/3/2018).
Furthermore, Arcandra said the impact of non-CnC mine presence would disrupt mining activities due to the absence of standard safety practices for workers.
"Who is bothered? We are all. Human life is the same, so the safety standards must be the same," he added.
Another impact is often the occurrence of overlapping of land to the point of coordinates in the field that is not appropriate licensing.
The latest data reported by the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal recorded there are 2,595 IUPs that have not CnC status scattered throughout Indonesia.
Meanwhile, to curb the mines of the people, the Government recommends implementing the regulations that have been determined.
"It would be wonderful if the people's mines are also following the rules, which is not to make trouble, to follow security standards," concluded Arcandra.
Based on data from the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal at the Ministry of ESDM, 6,565 IUPs have been declared CnC.
Meanwhile, from the results of coordination and supervision conducted with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), in addition to the IUP that has been CnC, there are 2595 IUP revoked in the period 2015-2017.
