Minister of SOE Rini M. Soemarno Opens the 20th Anniversary Activities

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - On the 20th anniversary of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, which took place on 13 April 2018, was attended by First Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Tanri Abeng, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises for the period of 2009-2011 Mustafa Abubakar, BUMN Ministry officials, Bekraf Officials, BNPT Officials, and BUMN Directors, as well as employees and retired Ministry of SOEs.

At this moment, Minister Rini leads the beautification activities of Building 48 Jl Kebon Sirih located around the Ministry of SOEs Office. This activity is a form of awareness and efficiency of state building assets that have long neglected.

SOE Minister Rini M. Soemarno opened the 20th Anniversary of the Ministry of SOEs in Jakarta on Friday (13/04/2018).

In his speech, Minister Rini said that, "The establishment of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises shows the Government's efforts to SOEs to be professionally managed, transparent, accountable, and able to become real corporations, not just as and extension of the technical ministry for policy implementation."

"In the past 20 years, SOEs under the coordination of the Ministry of SOEs have grown rapidly In 1998 the total assets of SOEs amounted to Rp 438 trillion, while in 2017 it had reached Rp 7,212 trillion .The total profit of BUMN in 1998 was Rp 14 trillion, while in 2017 amounting to Rp 189 trillion," she said.

For 3.5 years back, SOEs continue to synergize with the mission of "SOEs Present to the Country". Many efforts are made to provide the best service for Indonesia, including through infrastructure development program, social justice, and community economy, renewable energy development up to SOE Holding to make SOEs stronger and agile so as to compete globally and meet the needs of the people of Indonesia.

The infrastructure development program is run by state-owned enterprises through an electrification ratio improvement program in which 2014 is only 86%, targeted to reach 97.35% in 2019; the construction of toll roads where from 1980-2014 only built 600 km, the target until 2019 should be built up to 1,800 km; transmission length until 2014 of 40,000 kms, target to 2019 to 86,000 kms.

Social justice program is achieved through the program of BBM Satu Price, where the previous price of Rp 15 thousand - Rp 50 thousand / liter to Rp 6.450, - / liter for premium and Rp 5.150, - / liter for diesel, the same as in Java; The decline in cement prices in 3T locations includes Puncak Jaya Papua from Rp 2.5 million to Rp 500 thousand.

People's economic program is a mandate undertaken by SOEs through the development of Balkondes in Borobudur; Creative House of BUMN (RKB) with registered UMKM number reached 480 thousand; Mekaar with its customers reaches 2.7 million; and various other programs.

In order to increase the added value and efficiency, Holding State-owned Plantation, Holding SOE Cement, Holding Mining Industry, and Holding BUMN Migas have been successfully formed.

Signing of Memorandum of Understanding

At this moment also Minister of SOE Rini M. Soemarno and the officials of the Ministry of SOEs witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding of Development Cooperation and Development of Danareksa and Telkom Building which is Integrated with Ministry Building BUMN.

This Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Managing Director of PT Danareksa (Persero) Heru D. Adhiningrat, President Director of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk Alex J. Sinaga and President Director of PT Pembangunan Perumahan Tbumi Tumiyana at Home Ministry of SOE on Friday , 13/04.

This Memorandum of Understanding is intended as a guide for planning and preparation and implementation of integration cooperation of Danareksa Building, Telkom and Ministry of SOE, and establishing strategic partnership in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations.
