Vice President JK Accepts Lifetime Achievement for Her Service Concerned with Natural Disasters

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Vice President Jusuf Kalla leaves Jakarta for Padang, West Sumatera, to conduct a working visit to Andalas University and State University of Padang (UNP) on Wednesday (2/5/2018)

Vice President and Mufidah Jusuf Kalla and entourage depart from Base Ops of Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base at 7:30 am, together with Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education M. Nasir, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimujono, Minister of Communications and Informatics Rudiantara, Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arcandra Tahar and Board of Trustees of Andalas University Fahmi Idris.

The Vice President is scheduled to open the Annual Scientific Meeting - Disaster Research (PIT-RB) at the University of Andalas and mentoring entrepreneurial activities of 3,500 students in West Sumatera.

During his visit to the University of Andalas, the Vice President is scheduled to receive Life Time Achievement award in the field of disaster for his services that are considered care for natural and social disasters.

Jusuf Kalla became the first person to receive the award.

Meanwhile at UNP, Vice President Kalla will receive the award "Father of Entrepreneurship" from universities as West Sumatera.

"This award is given because of his services in developing entrepreneurial spirit among universities in West Sumatra," said Rector UNP Ganefri.

The awards are given by public and private universities such as Univeritas Andalas, State University of Padang, State Islamic University Imam Bonjol, ISI Padang Panjang, State Padang Polytechnic, IAIN Batusangkar, IAIN Bukittinggi and Kopertis Region X representing private universities.

"We agree to give this award for the services and seriousness of Deputy Perveer Jusuf Kalla in fostering entrepreneurship on campus," he said.
