INDUSTRY.co.id - Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah has urged the Health Care and Social Security Agency (BPJS Health) to accelerate the integration of membership data for the social security program of laid-off workers (JKP) so that the program can be well-targeted.

The Minister made the statement when receiving BPJS Health Directors at the Office of Ministry of Manpower, Jakarta, Thursday (15/4).

“In preparation for the implementation of the JKP program, an intense synergy between Ministry of Manpower and BPJS Health is pivotal. One of our concerns is the integration of data between BPJS Kesehatan and the Workers Social Security Agency (BPJS of Employment) that will be integrated with Manpower Information System’s data,” the Minister said.

Ida said that the integration process of membership data included in the JKP program between BPJS Health and BPJS of Employment has been given six months.

Through the data integration, it is possible to increase or decrease the number of participants who join the JKP Program.

“Therefore, the Government continues to collaborate with various stakeholders in preparation for the implementation of the program. We continue to synergize with BPJS Health since the JKP program beneficiaries are members of the National Health Insurance (JKN),” she said.

According to the Minister, JKP is a form of the Government’s protection for workers who experience termination of employment (PHK).

Several benefits of this program, including cash assistance, access to labor market information, and job training.

“To make the JKP program run optimally and right on target, we must integrate the data from BPJS of Employment, BPJS Health, and Manpower Information System,” Ida said.

Previously, the Minister has also met with BPJS of Employment Board of Supervisors and Board of Directors. In the meeting, Ida also affirmed the importance of acceleration in integration between Manpower Information System’s data and that of BPJS of Employment to run the program.

During the meeting, President Director of BPJS Health Ali Ghufron Mukti said that his party would immediately follow up on the synchronization of beneficiary data that had been submitted by Minister of Manpower, especially in preparation for the implementation of the JKP Program.

“We are pleased to form a team so it can discussmore technical matters to solve several issues, including the JKP program membership,” Ali said.

Ali further said that the JKN-Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS) program has not been fully implemented so far, especially business entities or employers who are still disobedient in providing health insurance for their workers, including in registering and receiving receivables, which affected the productivity and production of the business entity, and eventually have an impact on the JKN-KIS programs.
