Demand Increases, CLEO Recorded IDR307.7 Billion Sales in Q1-2022

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, May 12th, 2022 - PT Sariguna Primatirta Tbk (Tanobel Group), a public company and manufacturer of Bottled Drinking Water (AMDK) with the IDX ticker code: CLEO: IJ, recorded a 30% increase in sales reaching IDR307.7 billion in the first quarter of 2022.
The increase was driven by CLEO's performance which continues to improve both product quality and service quality, enabling the Company to maintain its presence.
Melisa Patricia as Deputy President Director of CLEO said, “We are proud that to this day, CLEO is still able to maintain its existence and even become one of the preferred bottled drinking water for the people of Indonesia. It is proven by the Company’s recorded a net profit of IDR45.8 billion or an increase of 9% in the first quarter of 2022. This increase is inseparable from the prospect of bottled drinking water that continues to thrive, coupled with a surge in demand for drinking water at the current momentum. Therefore, we are committed to continue to add more factories and production capacity so that CLEO can continue to meet the drinking water needs of the Indonesian people."
CLEO has two products that are offered to the public, namely bottles and non-bottles. Considering the positive growth of bottled drinking water, CLEO's non-bottled products are still the main contributor to CLEO sales, amounting to 51% in the first quarter of 2022. Meanwhile, the sales contribution to the bottle segment increased to 48% in the first quarter of 2022 compared to 41% last year.
As the first bottled drinking water (AMDK) producer in Indonesia to receive the ISO 22000:2005 food safety management certificate, CLEO continues to add new factories outside Java, namely Sumatra and Kalimantan. Each of these factories is projected to have a capacity of up to 100 million liters per year.
This corporate action is in line with the high demand for bottled water and as the Company's anticipation of the surge in demand.
Presently, CLEO has 27 AMDK processing plants plus 3 other factories which are projected to be completed in 2022. The Company has a distribution network spread across a number of areas in Indonesia, including Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Bali, East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, and Papua with a total network of 200 internal distributors and 1,515 total external distributors.
“Seeing the bright prospect and the increasing demand for drinking water, in the future we will not only add factories and capacities, but also add to the distribution network of CLEO, both internal and external distributors. The spread of CLEO's products and distribution network is expected to increase the Company's market share and enable CLEO to continue to seel for new opportunities, thus the Company is optimistic that it can provide even better performance by the end of this year," Melisa concluded.
