Ibu Iriana Invites Assistants to ASEAN Leaders to See NTT Culture-Based Activities

INDUSTRY.co.id - Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo held a meeting with fellow ASEAN leaders at Puncak Waringin, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT), on Wednesday (10/05/2023) morning.
This activity is part of a series of activities at the 42nd ASEAN Summit.
Ibu Iriana welcomed the arrival of the ASEAN leaders' assistants. Starting from Mrs. Bun Rany Hun Sen from Cambodia, Mrs. Vandara Siphandone from Laos, Mrs. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail from Malaysia, Mrs. Louise Araneta Marcos from the Philippines, and Mrs. Ho Ching from Singapore.
After being greeted and shaking hands with Mrs. Iriana, the escorts headed to the waiting room that had been provided. In the waiting room, Expert Staff for Social Culture and Empowerment of Indonesian Communities Overseas, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Siti Nugraha Mauludiah and the wife of the Governor of NTT, Ms. Julie Sutrisno Laiskodat, accompanied the assistants while watching a demonstration of weaving and weaving typical NTT fabrics.
Afterwards, Mrs. Iriana invited the ASEAN leaders' assistants to see a number of culture-based activities, including the Dundundake dance, the traditional Rangku Alu game, and the presentation of a number of NTT folk songs.
Apart from that, Mrs. Iriana also invited the companions of the ASEAN leaders to go to the 2nd floor of Puncak Waringin. There, the assistant ASEAN leaders were invited by Mrs. Iriana to see a number of NTT Province micro, small and medium enterprise (MSMEs) products ranging from handicrafts to NTT specialties.
The activities of the accompanying ASEAN leaders ended with a tea party with Mrs. Iriana while accompanied by songs from a number of ASEAN countries, including the regional songs of NTT. (BPMI SETPRES/AIT)
