INDUSTRY.co.id - After a three-day working visit to Saudi Arabia, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, Friday (10/20), headed back to Indonesia.

The Garuda Indonesia GIA-I aircraft that carried President Jokowi and his entourage took off from King Khalid International Airport, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, at around 13:55 local time or 18:00 Western Indonesian Time.

During his previous stay in Saudi Arabia, President Jokowi attended the ASEAN-GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) Summit and stated that the first meeting between ASEAN and the GCC held under Indonesia’s Chairmanship have carried an important meaning that Indonesia, ASEAN, and GCC have decided to enhance their cooperation in the midst of a more fractured global situation.

“From the issues discussed by the 16 ASEAN-GCC Member States in relation to Palestine, it was decided to seek a cessation of violence, open full access of humanitarian assistance, and reaffirm our commitment to a two-state solution for the peaceful coexistence of both countries,” the President said.

Additionally, First Lady Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo also paid a courtesy call to Princess Sara, Spouse of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al-Saud. According to President Jokowi, Ibu Iriana was very kindly and warmly welcomed by the Princess.
