Create Competent Human Resources, Komatsu Indonesia Embrace 35 SMK in Java Island

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Coinciding with the peak of the 35th anniversary celebration, PT Komatsu Indonesia inaugurated the Komatsu Management Development Institute (KIMDI) as well as inaugurated the Link and Match program with 35 Vocational School (SMK) on Java Island.
The inauguration ceremony attended by Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto and accompanied by President Director of PT Komatsu Indonesia, Pratjojo Dewo took place at Komatsu Indonesia Industrial Development Center (PPIKI), Cakung, Jakarta (13/12/2017).
In his speech, Pratjojo Dewo said, the establishment of KIMDI is one of the management policy initiatives in accelerating human resource development in PT Komatsu Indonesia environment along with affiliate company.
"This link and match program is not only dedicated to internal komatsu, but also our suppliers and all stakeholders in inspiring the rapidly changing landscape of heavy equipment business," he said.
On the occasion, PT Komatsu Indonesia signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of research and development between Komatsu, Ltd. with universities namely UI, ITB, UGM and IPB.
In this partnership PT Komatsu Indonesia helps in the alignment of the competency-based curriculum, the development of practical facilities and the provision of technical internship opportunities for vocational students and industrial handling for teachers and certification.
Pratjojo hopes that the inauguration of KIMDI can be a place to improve the capability of employees of PT Komatsu Indonesia along with affiliate company, suppliers and all stakeholders that lead to the improvement of the company's performance and efficiency.
"Meanwhile, the program link and match is expected to improve the quality of human resources graduate SMK in meeting the demands of industry standards," he concluded.
