INDUSTRY.co.id - Tangerang - President Joko Widodo believes there is no intervention in the issuance of a suspension of the investigation (SP3) alleged "chat" case of pornographic content involving the head of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Rizieq Syihab.
"Ask the investigator or the Chief of Police, there is no intervention from us, that is the jurisdiction," said President Joko Widodo at the construction site of Soetta airport runway, Tangerang, Banten, Thursday (21/6/2018)
Police on Sunday (17/6) admitted that they have issued a letter SP3 suspected cases of "chat" containing pornography involving Habib Rizieq Syihab who currently resides in Saudi Arabia.
Rizieq was named as a suspect after a suspected "chat" between Rizieq and Firza Husein spread through the baladacintarizieq.com site.
Although the President denied any political intervention, Rizieq's lawyer, Kapitra Ampera later admitted that he began to communicate with the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Wiranto, and then met with clerics and figures of 212 action alumni with the Head of State in April 2018.
In the meeting, alumni 212 asked the President to "intervene" the case that ensnared Rizieq.
Police had also previously suspended cases of alleged defamation Pancasila handled Polda Jabar.
Commander-in-Chief of Commissioner General Syafruddin previously said that investigators have their own views on the SP3.
"So hopefully there is no pretension whatsoever to them. Our belief in them in the present condition, it is very professional, proportional, and very independent," said Syafruddin. (Ant)
