Indonesia Defeats Brunei 6-0 at 2026 World Cup Qualifier

INDUSTRY.co.id - Indonesian national football team managed to defeat Brunei Darussalam 6-0 in the 2026 World Cup Qualifier at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium, Jakarta, on Thursday (10/12) evening. President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, who also watched the match live, lauded the result.

“It is really entertaining because of the score. I think this is a good start since we will have another match in Brunei,” President Jokowi said in his statements before the media after the match.

During the match, the Indonesian national team’s first goal was scored by Dimas Drajad in the 7^th minute. Indonesia’s second goal scored in the 11^th minute after Saddil Ramdani’s corner kick was well finished by Rizky Ridho.

In the second half, Indonesia stepped up their attack and scored four more goals. Ramadhan Sananta, who just entered into game the second half, scored two goals, one from the penalty spot in the 63^rd minute and the other in the 67^th minute.

Dimas Drajad successfully completed a hat-trick after scoring two additional goals in the 72^nd and 90+2^nd minutes. President Jokowi said that all national team players played nicely.

“Everyone did a great job with the teamwork, but the entry of Ramadhan Sananta into the second half of the game somewhat changed the pattern of the game,” he revealed.
