Half-Day Rest, Composite Stock Price Index Rises to Position 5,963

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Jakarta Composite Stock Price Index (IDX) closed up 0.3% or 17 points to position 5,963 in the first trading session Friday (27/07/2018) compared to the position at the end of trading the day before at the level of 5846.

The strengthening of the index at mid-day break was supported by a 200-share price increase. In addition, 163 shares fell, 116 stagnant shares and 171 shares were not traded. JCI throughout the first session of trading today is moving in the range of 5,947-5,971.

Total trading value across all BEI market segments reached Rp3.04 trillion. It consisted of trading value in the Regular Market of Rp2.37 trillion and in Negotiation Market worth Rp676.63 billion.

The total volume of recorded transactions reached as much as 52.69 million lots of shares, resulting from 181,488 times transactions. Foreign investors posted net sales of Rp62.10 billion, but with a net purchase volume of 178,415 lot lots.

A total of seven out of nine indexes of BEI strengthened. The index of miscellaneous industry sectors increased 2.95% or 34.62 points to 1,207. This was followed by index of basic industry sector and mining index which increased by 0.85% and 0.57% respectively.

LQ45 stocks that experienced price increases and became top gainers were ASII whose price rose by 3.74% or Rp250 to Rp6,925 per unit, WSBP whose price increased by 3.63% or Rp14 to Rp400 per unit and BUMI whose price was lifted 2 , 42% or Rp6 to Rp254 per unit.

LQ45 stocks that became top losers were SSMS which eroded 3.20% or Rp40 to Rp1,210 per unit, INTP whose price shrank 3.19% or Rp475 to Rp14,425 per unit and LPKR whose price decreased 1.53 % or Rp6 to Rp386 per unit. (Abraham Sihombing)
