Chemical Raw Material Factory, Farma Sungwun Pharmacopia Already 100 Percent Completed

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Kimia Farma Tbk (KAEF) in cooperation with South Korean pharmaceutical company, Sungwun Pharmacopia Co Ltd established a joint venture company called PT Kimia Farma Sungwun Pharmacopia (KFSP).

The company will work to operate a drug raw material factory in Cikarang, West Java.

Currently, the physical construction of the raw material factory of medicine is 100% complete. Phase I engine has arrived at Tanjung Priok and is in custom clearance process by Customs.

This factory has a capacity of 15 tons to 30 tons per year. The presence of this plant will help KAEF reduce imports of medicinal raw materials and KAEF margins can be thicker.

As of the first half of 2017, KAEF posted a revenue growth of 5.8% year on year (yoy) to Rp2.64 trillion. Fifty-two percent of KAEF's revenue was sustained by prescription drug sales that rose 9.9% yoy to Rp1.36 trillion.
