10 Indonesian Infrastructure Projects Targeted by Chinese Entrepreneurs

INDUSTRY.co.id - Beijing- China Communications Construction Company Ltd. Company (CCCC) is targeting a number of infrastructure projects in Indonesia as a place to invest.

Vice President of CCCC International Pen Dapeng explained that his company is exploring more than 10 projects in the country such as toll road development, port, industrial area, and real estate.

"Currently, the current project in Indonesia is worth around US $ 1.2 billion, especially in infrastructure and real estate," Dapeng said when receiving a visit from journalists from ASEAN countries at CCCC Headquarters in Beijing on Friday (22/9 / 2017)

One of the biggest projects is the 300-million-dollar Solo-Kertosono toll road that the construction process has started in 2016.

In addition, the CCCC has also completed a feasibility study report for infrastructure projects in western Indonesia such as the ring road on the island of Java, the port of Kuala Tanjung in North Sumatra, the industrial estate of Bitung in North Sulawesi, and the real estate in DKI Jakarta.

However, Dapeng said, the projects are still awaiting approval from the Indonesian government.

In addition to explaining projects that are in the stage of assessment, companies from China who participate in the construction of Surabaya-Madura (Suramadu) bridge also revealed two major obstacles of infrastructure development in the country.
