Jogja International Street Performance Presents Foreign Artists

INDUSTRY.co.id - Yogyakarta - Not only famous for Javanese arts and culture, Yogyakarta is also known as dancing city "Dancing City". For that, on 24 to 25 September 2017, will be held Jogja International Street Performance (JISP) 2017 which will be held in Monument 1 March, Yogyakarta.
"This JISP event is an international scale and concept of Dance on Public, held in public place to eliminate the distance between dance artists and the community. The proximity of the community as the main supporter of art and culture products has become a very important target in this event," said Aris Riyanta, Head of Tourism DIY Yogyakarta, as quoted from Kemenpar facebook, Saturday (23/09/2017).
Aris added that JISP which has been held since 2010 is taking the theme # 5 Jogja The Dancing City with tagline Jogja Jejogedan, besides held in conventional pangung monument SO 1 Maret, will also be held in various places around Yogyakarta, parking area Jl. Mangkubumi and along Malioboro Street
"The dancers will perform around the monument of Jogja to the point or from Jl Mangkubumi to Malioboro Street." Each group chooses a different place, some of which appear in front of Gedung Agung, some are in Jogja monument, the whole way Mangkubumi to Malioboro crowded later on used for the show, "he continued.
Meanwhile, Bambang Paningron, Director and initiator of JISP, delivered the fifth Event which will be followed by more than 25 contemporary dance, tradition and pop groups. The dance group comes from Jogja as well as several cities in Indonesia, such as Bellacoustic Central Kalimantan, Daya Presta Jakarta, Semarang, Topari Cirebon mask, Nian Tanah NTT and Kampuseni Bangka.
"Even six foreign dance groups also took part from Malaysia (Suhaimi Magi), Singapore (Kalpana Dosivan), Taipei (Wang Yue Kwn), Srilangka (Gamini Basnayake), Japan (Rina Takahashi) and the Philippines (Poleen Carla Rosito) "said Bambang Paningron.
Bambang continued on the first day of September 24th at Monument on March 1, March 27 to appear in Satria Ayodya, Phoenix Dance (Semarang), Rangranga dance Srilangka, Singapore dance, Malaysian dance, Daya Presta Betawi Jakarta, Philiphines dance and Belacoustic ethno of Central Kalimantan.
While at the Mangkubumipada Street Parking Area 24-25 September 2017 will be shown Rina takahashi (Japan), Taiwan dance Performance, Devy Savitri, Mila Art Dance, Kinanti Sekar Studio, Kontingen Kampuseni Bangka, Nian land NTT, Alvin Lie, Jun amanto (Japan) , Artha Dance and Sanggar anak Tembi.
"With so many foreign artists coming to want to attend the arts event in Yogyakarta this time, we hope the JISP 2017 event will clarify the cooperation with Barcelona-based Dancing Cities Network and incorporate this event into a part of Dancing Cities Network that has been followed by dozens of countries in Europe and Latin America, "he concluded.
