INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- Indonesia and China initiated the development of a new concept of marketing for tourism products throughout the ASEAN and Asia region held in Jiangshu Sheng, China, on 17-18 October 2017.
Deputy of Tourism Marketing at the Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar) I Gde Pitana in Jakarta, Thursday (19/10/2017) said the development of the new concept is done in the form of a seminar involving the Association of Indonesian Higher Education Institute (Hildiktipari) with Wuxi Institute Of Technology, China.
"Through this activity as well as promoted tourism Indonesia Wonderful Indonesia to the academics who attended from various countries," he said.
Through the fourth international seminar initiated by Hildikpari, various new tourism development concepts were discussed in the conference format which was entitled "Towards responsible and sustainable tourism".
"In this activity it is expected that conference participants can learn more about tourism and hospitality in China," he said.
This opportunity, he said, as well as an effort to develop cooperation between tourism colleges in Indonesia and China.
The collaboration includes joint research, publications, exchange of students and lecturers, short courses, and "double degree" programs.
Pitana also expects a harmonious relationship between the two countries in an effort to improve the quality of tourism and hospitality in each country.
"For tourism higher education, this activity also has a strategic function to promote higher education institutions of tourism to the academic community in foreign countries so it is expected to attract their interest to follow education in Indonesia, especially tourism," he concluded.
