BP Batam Supports Data Storage Integration Program

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Raised the theme of "The role of BP Batam in order to support the data storage of Government agencies" the activity was initiated as an effort to support BP Batam to the government program as per Presidential Regulation No. 82 of 2012 on the Implementation and electronic system.
Head of PDSI Center Batam Yuda Gunadi welcomed the business gathering activities conducted his side. He mentioned data center as storage and data processing fore is the right choice for every institution and coorporation.
"This activity is initiated to increase synergies among government ministries / agencies that become our partners to continue to grow, especially in terms of implementing integrated IT-based e-Government," he told media crew in Jakarta.
He further explained that the data center will be needed for backup and storage of data along with global technology development issues. According to him, it needs the latest software technologies such as cloud computing system, security performance, and network scalability in serving all needs in the application of e-Government.
"BP Batam seeks to be a solution in the digital needs of the government with all facilities such as cloud computing, back up center, training center to skilled human resources," he said.
Meanwhile, the National ICT Board (Wantiknas) acting as resource person, Garuda Sugardo conveyed it is important for an agency to scan the information and strategic data into the data center in accordance with the existing regulatory basis.
Garuda said at this time BP Batam has a data center which is one of the government-owned data centers that have the most complete conditions. He explained after the moratorium on data center development refers to Presidential Regulation no. 96 year 2014 on the Indonesian Broadband Plan that BP Batam data center is the right step of Government that must be supported together.
"Moratorium is the right step to save money and make efficiency" he said.
He explained that with this moratorium, the country can save money. "If all Ministries and Regions continue to build data center, then there will be wastage to reach 14 trillion rupiah. The data center that we have today is sufficient to maximize its function by K / L ", continued Garuda that has been poor across the world of telecommunications in Indonesia.
Wantiknas suggested that Indonesia has the figure of the National Government Chief Information Officer (NG-CIO), one of which is tasked to determine strategic ICT for government and to bridge the business and technology sectors.
