INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Institute of Food, Drugs and Cosmetics Assembly of the Indonesian Ulema Council (LPPOM MUI) said that Indonesia's halal standards have been accepted in many countries.

"A total of 20 countries accept halal standards of Indonesia," said Director of LPPOM MUI Lukmanul Hakim in the event of Silaturahmi LPPOM MUI and Halal-Oriented Company in Jakarta.

According to him, it becomes a common opportunity to increase the halal regulation of Indonesia. He invites business actors to guard Indonesian halal products into international trade.

Lukmanul said Russia has asked for a number of Indonesian halal products. Even halal Indonesian fashion successfully penetrated the Moscow market. In addition, the Middle East became the mediator of Indonesia to enter halal trade in the country.

Lukmanul is optimistic that the export of halal products can encourage the improvement of people's welfare. According to him, the increase does not eliminate the original identity of Indonesia as a religious nation.

He said halal is a global issue, not Islamic syariat or Islamization anymore. He said halal being one of the commodity models and customer service.
