Ticket Prices Jabodebek LRT Can Rise If The Are More Passengers

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Home Affairs, Luhut Panjaitan said, the price of light train tickets / LRT Jabodebek set Rp12.000. But the tariff could have increased if there are more passengers.

According to him, assuming the number of passengers who continue to increase or after the KRL operates for three or four years, it is not impossible that the price of tickets Rp12.000 raised.

"The number of passengers (will) increase, we still count on the passengers 200 thousand, this number can rise 10 years ahead or maybe faster than that to 474 thousand passengers. It's just from Cibubur, not include from Bogor, Depok, and elsewhere, "said Luhut in Jakarta, Friday (29/12/2017).

Luhut said the established tariff has been through formulation, including entering the numbers subsidized by the government. The subsidy given for LRT tickets is worth almost Rp2 trillion. The more the number of passengers, the subsidy given by the government will decrease.

"Almost Rp2 trillion, but not fixed Rp2 trillion, because there is (cash flow gap), and we are sure will be lost (subsidy) because the number of passengers will rise," he said.

Luhut ensures the light rail project / LRT can run as planned. This is indicated by the interest of banks that are willing to finance the project with a total investment of Rp29.9 trillion. "This project is very good, considering the number of incoming banks," he explained.

The Rp29.9 trillion project has secured loans from 12 syndicated banks worth Rp19.25 trillion from both private and private banks with tenor for 18 years.
