South Sumatera Governor Alex Optimistic MotoGP Will Be Realized 2019

INDUSTRY.co.id - Palembang - South Sumatra Governor Alex Noerdin is optimistic that the most prestigious MotoGP motor racing event will be realized in 2019 because many things have been done, especially in bringing in investors.

"This MotoGP is extraordinarily heavy because why we do not have money, if only requested four years ago, it certainly does not matter," Alex said in the presentation of the year-end review at Griya Agung Palembang, not long ago

Because of this, Alex has been looking for investors for a year to build a circuit on a 120 hectare land and other supporting facilities.

So far there are three investors who are interested and will decide the winner in January 2018.

 A number of strategies are being undertaken to attract these investors, one of which is establishing a Regional Owned Enterprise of PT Jakabaring Sport City.

Through the company this area is expected to manage Jakabaring Sport City area becomes more professional because it has business oriented.

Most recently, Alex insists that it does not matter if investors want one area in Jakabaring to simultaneously build hotels, golf courses, amusement rides and more.
 

 "There is no problem as long as the calculations are clear," Alex told the media crew.

So far, the South Sumatera Provincial Government has claimed that it will host MotoGP in 2019. While on the other hand, MotoGP organizing authority, Dorna Sports has not given an official release regarding the place of the event in the coming year.

Although there are guidelines through the Minister of Youth and Sports Imam Nahrawi that MotoGP will be held in Indonesia, but there are three places that continue to be a study Dorna Sport, the tourist areas of Mandalika, Palembang, and Sentul.
