INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) released inflation during 2017 of 3.61%. This figure is well below the inflation set in APBN-P 2017 of 4.3%.
Head of BPS, Kecuk Suhariyanto said, In inflation in 2017 there was a change in consumption patterns.
From what was previously contributed from the foodstuffs group and the finished food group to the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel groups.
He explained that there has been an increase in index from 126.71 in December 2016 to 131.28 in December 2017.
"In 2017 the pattern is changed, volatile food does not have a big effect because the government's price control is quite good," explained Kecuk at BPS Head Office, Jakarta, Tuesday (2/1/2018).
For the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel groups accounted for 5.14%, the finished food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco category were 4.10% and the foodstuff category was 1.26%.
"The government is aware that there is a more targeted subsidy reform policy which is 900 VA electricity tariff increase since January. As the impact began to be seen in May 2017. And that is what infects the inflation movement in 2017," he said.
