The Ministry of Communication and Informatics Invites Miss Internet Indonesia to Become a Healthy Internet Campaign Partner

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kemkominfo) will invite Miss Internet Indonesia 2017 Marsya Gusman as a partner to campaign for healthy internet to increase digital literacy in the community.

In Hearing with Director of Telecommunication Directorate General of Post and Information Technology Benyamin Sura, Miss Internet Indonesia 2017 Marsya Gusman accompanied by two managers Association of Internet Service Provider Indonesia (APJII) Ida Haryani and Much Rifan, Friday (28/07/2017).

Benjamin Sura acknowledged the need to socialize Kemkominfo program through a figure like Miss Internet in order to reach many people. Benjamin expressed his concern about the rise of cyber crime and the rise of false news (hoaxes) due to the low digital literacy in the community.

"Miss Internet Indonesia can be a bridge between government and organizations or directly to the community marsarakat to do educational programs," said Benjamin.

Some programs have Kemenkominfo will be campaigned by Miss Internet Indonesia which has a list of full activities for a year. One of the activities is "Miss Internet Indonesia Road to Campuss" in the form of seminars and talkshow technology.

With this partnership, Marsya states ready to be a "funnel" to convey issues related to communication and technology that is warm, such as the rise of fake news (hoax), cyber bullying, and digital literacy.

"If it's usually info from bureaucrats, this time Miss Internet can reach people with more down to earth language," said the woman graduated from a campus in Australia.

In the near future, Miss Internet Indonesia will be a speaker at seminars and talk shows organized by some circles including Telkom University and also President University.
