INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Association of Franchise Indonesia (AFI) regrets the growth of franchise industry or franchise in Indonesia feels the way in place.

"Currently our franchise industry is stagnant, so the number 100-120 local brands to date has not increased," said Chairman of AFI, Anang Sukandar to INDUSTRY.co.id in Jakarta (23/1/2018).

Anang see instant culture that will quickly become so often in use by franchise business actors.

"There must be an entrepreneurship side in diving the franchise business, so there are advantages in terms of innovation, so do not assume random," he explained.

Furthermore, he suggested for franchise businessmen to deepen the science of franchising to be developed in a better direction. "Franchise is a marketing or marketing concept, so it should be explored with the best," said Anang.

However, he continued, Anang regretted the lack of curriculum in Indonesian universities that really special explore the science of franchise business. In fact, Indonesia has the advantage in terms of culinary.

"Our flagship product is quite a lot, that's what I think should be encouraged," said Anang.

Anang also felt sad with the lack of local brand Indonesia that can be successful abroad. When compared with Malaysia and Singapore, they have more than 100 local brands that can be successful abroad. While Indonesia only about 15 local brands are successful overseas.

According to Anang, it should be done. The lack of support or support from the Government makes the Indonesian franchise industry a place on the road. "Until now the government budget is very minimal for us, so we are currently running alone," added Anang.

When compared with other Asian countries, added Anang, in Malaysia they prepare a budget of 100 thousand billion ringgit for their franchise industry, as well as with Singapore.

"We have often complained to the government but, the result is nil, not have the budget, it's the answer they always spend. If we want our franchise industry forward, prepare dong budget," said Anang.

Anang expects the government to hear more complaints from us. Because the Indonesian franchise industry without the support of the government will not grow. "Government support and quite a lot of Indonesian superior products will increase the competitiveness of our franchise industry will increasingly ogled by other countries," lid Anang.
