BP Batam Encourage Xiaomi Smartphone Factory Expansion

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Head of BP (Batam) Agency of Batam Lukita Dinarsyah Tuwo encourages Chinese electronics and equipment company, Xiaomi Inc, to expand through its smart phone factory located in Batam City, Riau Islands.

"We are encouraging Xiaomi's representatives to expand the capacity expansion, and if I want to invest, I will find the land and help the licensing process so that it can be finished soon," said Lukita who met the media crew at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Tuesday (23/1 / 2018)

The former Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy revealed that Xiaomi's representatives are exploring the possibility of expanding the plant.

He said Xiaomi's party has seen that the production of their smart phones in Batam can run well, quality can be maintained, and on time from the "supply".

In addition to expansion, BP Batam also encourages Xiaomi to build its supplier industry, so that their business ecosystem can be formed in Batam.

"In Batam there are airport and harbor facility, can for their logistics," said Lukita.

BP Batam will provide a 3 hour investment permit facility (i23j) or secured investment clearance service within 3 business hours from the prospective investor to register.

"This 3-hour investment license service must have other derivatives," he said, adding that BP Batam will be guarding the permit from investors to be accelerated, because not all licenses from BP Batam are at any time BP Batam ready to dialogue to find a solution.
